Transition to Mental Health - Enrolled Nurse Program

This 12-month program provides a pathway to build your skills, knowledge and confidence toward a rewarding career in mental health within a supportive environment.

Program Information

Intakes & Rotations

  • One intake per year commening in March
  • 12-month program consisting of two 6-month mental health rotations
  • Includes supernumerary time and interactive study days

Clinical Areas & Locations

  • Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Units (Box Hill and Maroondah)
  • Older Adult Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit (Burwood)
  • Adolescent Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (Box Hill)
  • Co-located Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Detox (Box Hill)

Eligibility

  • Current, condition-free AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Minimum 12 months’ experience working as an Enrolled Nurse

Employment details

  • Part Time employment 0.8 EFT (8 days a fortnight) to maintain work-life balance
  • Permanent employment upon successful completion of the program
