We provide a supportive environment that encourages you to consolidate and development your clinical and reflective skills, and sense of professional identity.

Eastern Health offer two pathways for Enrolled Nurses

  • Nursing
  • Mental Health

Contracts

  • Permanent Part Time 0.8 EFT (8 days a fortnight) to maintain work-life balance
  • Options available for extended program with reduced EFT for those completing the Bachelor of Nursing

Your questions answered

Can I request my intake and ward preference?

Yes, you will be provided with a survey prior to commencement to place preferences for your intake and area. You are employed as an Eastern Health employee so your location may be at any of our sites, however we take preferences and residential locations into consideration.

 

How many study days will I receive?

Study days vary per pathway with three offered in the nursing pathway and 4 study days offered in the pure mental health pathway.

 

How may supernumerary days will I receive?

Supernumerary days depend on the pathway with 6 supernumerary days offered in the nursing pathway and 6 days to 8 weeks offered in Mental Health.

How do I apply?

Applications for the Enrolled Nurse Transition to Practice (Graduate) Program are through our job advertisements on eh.mercury.com.au when positions open we will advertise via this site and also provide information via our social channels (Facebook and Instagram).

I'm an international student, can I apply?

Yes, you can apply to Eastern Health with all Diploma of Nursing students when job applications are posted on our website.
